01

Application & Initial Screening

Complete your application with information about your:

  • Personal & Contact Details
  • Employment History
  • Healthcare Experience
  • Qualifications
  • Training
  • Skills & Competencies
  • Professional Registration
  • Availability
  • Preferred Roles & Locations

We review your application against the types of roles and assignments you are seeking.

02

Interview

Suitable applicants progress to an interview.

We explore your experience, values, communication, professional conduct, understanding of safeguarding, responsibilities and suitability for healthcare work.

Role-specific and scenario-based questions may also be used.

03

Safer Recruitment Checks

Depending on your role and jurisdiction, checks may include:

  • Identity Verification
  • Right to Work
  • Address Evidence
  • Employment History
  • References
  • Criminal Record / Background Checks
  • Qualifications
  • Professional Registration

Any relevant gaps or inconsistencies may require clarification before recruitment can progress.

04

Training Review

We review training relevant to your role and the assignments you may undertake.

This may include areas such as:

  • Safeguarding
  • Basic Life Support / First Aid
  • Infection Prevention & Control
  • Medication
  • Moving & Handling
  • Equality, Diversity & Human Rights
  • Mental Capacity
  • Communication
  • Lone Working

Requirements will vary according to the role, setting and assignment.

05

Competency Assessment

A training certificate does not automatically demonstrate competence.

Where an assignment requires specific competencies, we consider appropriate evidence of the worker’s knowledge, experience, practical competence and professional scope of practice.

For complex care this may include:

  • Tracheostomy & Suctioning
  • Ventilation / NIV
  • Oxygen Therapy
  • PEG / Enteral Feeding
  • Seizure Management
  • Diabetes Care
  • Catheter Care
  • Bowel & Stoma Care
  • Medication
  • Palliative & End-of-Life Care

06

Professional Registration

Where professional registration is required, it will be verified with the relevant professional regulator.

For Registered Nurses, this includes verification of NMC registration.

07

Compliance Clearance

Before being considered ready for appropriate assignments, the required recruitment and compliance information must be satisfactorily completed.

Being registered with us does not automatically mean you are cleared for every assignment. Individual clients, settings and roles may have additional requirements.

08

Your Staff Profile

Once appropriately cleared, we create a professional staffing profile containing relevant information such as:

  • Role
  • Experience
  • Healthcare Settings
  • People Supported
  • Qualifications
  • Training
  • Competencies
  • Professional Registration
  • Availability

Relevant information can then be used to support appropriate client and assignment matching.

09

Matching

We consider more than availability.

Our matching process considers:

  1. Role
  2. Experience
  3. Qualifications
  4. Training
  5. Competencies
  6. Professional Registration
  7. Care Setting
  8. Individual Requirements
  9. Location
  10. Shift Requirements
  11. Availability
  12. Compatibility

For specialist assignments, the required competencies must match the needs of the assignment.

10

Deployment

Once appropriately matched and the relevant assignment requirements are satisfied, you can be considered for deployment.

You should receive appropriate assignment information so that you understand where you are working, the role expected of you and any relevant requirements before commencing work.
