The fact that an introduced carer provides personal care does not automatically make the introductory agency the provider of that regulated activity. CQC’s guidance expressly recognises introductory arrangements where the individual takes responsibility for arranging their own care.
You tell us about the type of live-in support you are seeking, your preferences and the experience you would like the carer to have.
We identify potential carers whose experience, availability and relevant competencies appear suitable for your requirements.

An introduced live-in carer may provide personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, mobility support and assistance with daily routines, where this forms part of the private arrangement and the carer is appropriately experienced and competent.
Personal care may form part of the private arrangement between the individual or family and the introduced carer. Under this introductory model, the individual or their authorised representative takes responsibility for arranging and directing the ongoing care after the introduction.
