Depending on their role and competencies, staff may support with daily living skills, personal care, community access, communication, emotional wellbeing, routines, positive behaviour support and promoting independence.
Supported living is built around the individual. We consider the person’s needs, communication, preferences, identified risks, desired outcomes and required competencies when matching staff.
Where required, this may include experience in learning disabilities, autism, mental health, positive behaviour support and complex needs.
Appropriate checks include appropriate criminal-record and barred-list checks for the jurisdiction and role, Right to Work, references, employment history, training, experience and competency assessment, with professional registration verified where applicable.
