Depending on the needs of the pupil or service and staff availability:
Staff may support with personal care, mobility, communication, emotional wellbeing, health monitoring and participation in education, according to their role and competencies.
Where pupils have complex healthcare needs, appropriately trained and competent staff may support specific clinical interventions in accordance with the agreed care arrangements.
Working with children requires robust safer recruitment. Appropriate checks may include appropriate criminal-record and barred-list checks for the jurisdiction and role, Right to Work, references, employment history, safeguarding training, qualifications and competency assessment.
Registered Nurses will also have their professional registration verified.
