International assignments require careful preparation. Before confirming deployment, we consider the person’s needs, destination, duration, travel arrangements, accommodation, required staffing hours, risks, competencies and contingency arrangements.
Where applicable, requirements relating to passports, visas, immigration or work permissions, insurance, professional registration, medicines, medical equipment and destination-country rules must also be established before travel.

Where appropriate, accompanying care can allow a person to travel with a professional who understands their needs, routines, communication, preferences and required support, reducing unnecessary disruption while away from home.
Staff are subject to appropriate safer recruitment, DBS, Right to Work, references, employment history, training and competency checks, with professional registration verified where applicable.
International deployment is only considered where the assignment can be undertaken lawfully, safely and within the worker’s professional scope and insurance arrangements.
